11 December - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good afternoon from a very cold, Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. I have the heat cranked up. They still haven't fixed the garage door which is right next to my apartment, so this apartment is always colder than other parts of the building. I'm ready to crank it up again. It's at 77 F right now. However, this is not a post about complaining, but what I'm thankful for today. I'm thankful for the nap I got this morning. I was up at 1:30 this morning and went back to bed at 5:30 until 7. It felt good. Though I might still need another nap if I'm going to stay awake until the end of the Packers/Giants game tonight in Monday Night Football. I'm thankful for the exercise I got before and during the exercise class. I have all my steps early as I walked the building two rounds per floor before the class and put in five miles on the bike during the short tape. I'm thankful for spending time here with you. I have all the notifications done for the third time today. It's good to see what's happening in your part of the world. I'm thankful for the work I did on Wilderness Challenge. I edited two chapters that were previously edited. However, with the new chapters they needed more editing. I'm thankful for the new cover I just created on Canva. It looks great! I'm very happy with it. We'll see how much it changes when I start publishing it next year. There are always changes. I'm thankful I went over to the office. The manager expressed a desire to see my books. When I showed them to her, she had suggestions on how to help me market. One was to do a talk in the Commons Room in that building. She also said the idea of a book club, previously shot down by the previous manager was a good idea and I should pursue it. I let my friend who made the suggestion for the book club a few months back know what she said. So, it looks like The Mad Hatters Tea Party Book Club will be a fact before too long. I only need to get the books into the library so I can check them out for those interested in the book club. So, excitement is in the air. Okay, that's my day. What are you thankful for today?
