Does your country already use ID Card to report taxes?

We previously had a Taxpayer Identification Number card which will now be changed to an ID Card and that means all Indonesian citizens are required to report taxes. I still don't understand how to report my crypto assets there because starting May 2022 they are intangible assets and must be reported.

Here in Switzerland all families and individuals receive the tax forms and we have a unique Taxpayer Identification Number.

Unfortunately in Indonesia we have to register manually if we don't have one.

@May2k8 We are automatically registered here. We had our taxpayer number as soon as we applied to become residents.

@LadyDuck That doesn't seem to be happening here, to register we need an ID card, email and cellphone number.

Now everything is combined only with the ID Card here, so it's easier to tax.

@Aansh13 Of course, we are only allowed to see our own database and if there are changes, we can change them ourselves according to applicable regulations.

Migration to one card has been postponed until July 2024 here, because it takes time to transfer the data of millions of residents.

Yes they do here. Only people that are not criminals get hassled in this country. All the tax evaders do as they please.

We pay taxes on almost everything and the taxes keep going up. My husband receives the forms from the government and fills out what he can and lets our accountant do the rest. I can’t help you with crypto. Best to ask someone reliable in your country.

Tax regulations regarding crypto begin to be published here in 2022 so I still have to learn them.

If you are employed in my country, taxes are reported before the salary hits your account. For businesses, not all are loyal in reporting

Here all the income we earn must be reported, including the assets we own such as vehicles and so on.

@May2k8 our revenue team are also trying to do this. Their biggest headache has been citizens reporting on all the income
