Watching news while I wait.

Violence and stupidity fill the news today.
Right now they are showing the amount of people that worked to recover the body of a missing 80 year old man that went for a hike to the Andes mountains. Usually we have many dead people in the Andes every year. And there are helicopters and military paid by all of us that search usually for youngsters that go to the mountains in spring, only with a T shirt and a cellphone. And during the night in can get below freezing.
Now, today, what can do an 80 year old man ALONE in the mountains?
I´d call it a death wish.
I´m 2 years younger and I hike from my bedroom to my kitchen and from the kitchen to the living room
Alejandra, 6 months older than me is taken for walks every day by her son. They walk 3 blocks from her house and back. That´s safe.
Dixie just called me to tell me that she is coming. See you later. I´ll get dressed.

I agree with you. Hiking is way over rated. People who like to do it, more power to them. I like to look at nature through a window, car window, and my neighborhood.

I have seen wonderful documentaries of nature on TV. I´m cozy in my house with a snack and have lion cubs playing right in front of my eyes.

@LeaPea2417 I walked a lot when I was young, but maybe it was because I was never a good driver. I loved to go to museums but many times wished that I would be taken in a wheelchair.

I walk from my chair to the bathroom and back. I would never try to hike in the Andes. Have a good time at Dixie's.

Many young people die in the mountains here every year. It seems that people just don´t have common sense. Now, if you add that this man was old, it is worse still.

I don't watch the news. I see what I want on YouTube. Even young people shouldn't go hiking or wondering around in the mountains alone. It's not safe on several levels.

Sounds like me I walk from my workroom to my bathroom to the kitchen and to the front room, Mostly I got to the front room to check on the cats. I think I do enough moving around every day. I hope you enjoy your time with Dixie,

I´m mylotting while she is folding clothes. She won´t let me help so I came fotr a little mylotting. Then we´ll raid the kitchen together.
