14 December - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening from a warm Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. The temp on the computer shows 44 F. It was a sunny day today, a little windy when I went out. I have much to be thankful for today.
I'm thankful for getting up early this morning and getting my laundry done and put away.
I'm thankful for the nap I got this morning in the recliner. I really needed it with getting up at 2 this morning. I got an hour and felt wonderful.
I'm thankful for the shopping trip to Walgreens. I needed more Christmas cards. I also got a dry erase calendar board. I hope this one works. I need to have my appointments where I can see them so I don't forget them.
I'm thankful for a wonderful game of cards today. We played two different games. One was called Push Up and is only four hands. The one with the lowest points wins. The second game was Canasta. There were six of us at one table. We used four decks for Canasta and changed up the rules a little bit. It was so much fun! We had a blast.
I'm thankful I got all the Christmas cards on the doors along with The Christmas Tree that I wrote and shared here. Those not on the birthday list didn't get cards, but everyone got The Christmas tree.
I'm thankful for you. I enjoy being here. I still need to finish the notifications, and will do that before I get off the computer. I like seeing what you're doing in your part of the world.
Before I forget, thank you to Courtney Dutton for the wonderful Christmas Card. I love it!
I'm also thankful for the check I got in the mail today from the bookstore for the books I sold at the book signing last month.

I'm thankful for continued good health and news we're moving forward. George is determined and progressing fast. Hoping he can start eating soon. But, I'll still learn how to care for the peg tube until it's removed. He's been more himself the last couple of days, too. I'm thankful I didn't put off going to Walgreens, myself. I had to get a script, and am thankful I did. I knew I could do it. I just hadn't had to alone until today. I was nervous, but I still did what I needed to do.

Those are good things to be thankful for, Valerie. I'm grateful that I've gotten out of my missed quota slump at work. I'm grateful that my bus picked me up early for work, due to new winter hours. I'm grateful for Bailey who's a huge delight and makes me laugh. And I'm belatedly grateful for your Christmas card I received in the mail last week.

I'm thankful my husband made it to his doctor's appointment and back without issue. I am beginning to worry about his cognitive functions when he's out on the road. Have a good weekend.
