Who Still Makes Popcorn on the Stove?

Let's face it. I am old. LOL I still prefer popcorn made on the stove, and I make it that way regularly. Aside from the popcorn machines, it is the best tasting popcorn ever. I have never liked microwaved popcorn but will eat it if nothing else is available. Which do you prefer? Have you ever made popcorn over a fireplace or campfire? My mom and I bought a fire popcorn popper but could never make it properly. It always burned.

I don't like that microwave stuff, it tastes like margarine
I make on the stove. I tried it once at a campsite with an enamel pot on coals, not fire. It worked very well and tasted divine.

We do. We make our popcorns on the stove. Sometimes we buy those microwave popcorns but they're just too salty for us if not too buttery, the not so good kind of buttery flavor. We prefer making our own on the stove.
