21 December - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good afternoon from a mildly cool Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. I need to remind myself that today is Thursday. With the party today, it feels like Saturday.
I'm thankful for the 8 hours of sleep I got last night. I slept the first four in the recliner, then took Ibuprofen and slept the remaining hours in bed.
I'm thankful I was up early enough to make the sweet potato pie and the no bake pumpkin pie before I left for the chiropractor. I turned on the oven before I left so I could put the sweet potato pie in the oven as soon as I got home.
I'm thankful for the chiropractor. I told her about my cracked rib. She located it right away on my back. This one isn't on the front rib, but on the back, on or near my shoulder blade on the right side. I got ice and therapy for it after the adjustment. She wants to see me again next week.
I'm thankful I asked my friend down the hall if I could ride with her to the party. By the time I got home, my rib was hurting enough that I had a hard time driving.
I'm thankful I went to the party. It was great! My friend had a couple of games for everyone to play. One was Trivia. I actually won that one and I'm not good with Trivia. She had a Christmas movie theme going. I'm good at Christmas movies. There was lots of food. I'm not counting calories, though I did my best to record what I ate. I won't be eating anything more today. The scale this morning showed me up two pounds. I'm not looking forward to the scale tomorrow. I need to lose weight, not gain it.
I'm thankful I have all the notifications done. It's the first time in two days I have them finished. You're always a big part of my day, even when I can't be here as much as I want. It's always good to know how you are and what you're doing in your part of the world.
Okay, that's my day. I'm getting off the computer. I still have a couple thousand steps to make my goal. I'll do that and then spend the rest of the night watching TV.

Sounds like a good day and a fun party. Trivia is fun, and that's great you won. Sorry about the calories and scale, but it's most likely water weight which can come off pretty quick.
