Reverend Crislov Rerboski was telling his grandson about what is the result of his grandson doing misdeeds, or sinful actions.
He told him that sinning was essentially us straying from God's chosen path for our life.
Here is some more of what he said:
"It is possible, though, to make something good to even come from out of our misdeeds, though."
"When we do something wrong, or bad, we should have remorse for our actions, and let that energy of remorse then propel us forwards, as it can motivate us to do better, next time, and so to improve our life, overall."
"We must repent from our sins."
We must repent with our love for God, fueling our repentance. God's love returning to us then cleanses us, and purifies us, of the effects of our past sin, or sins.
"In this way, wrongfulness can be turned around to serve the good, in a way too."
Then, the Reverend quoted from the New Testament book of Romans, in the Bible, chapter 8, verse 28.
'"All things work together for good to those who love God."'
"And so, if we ensure that we are always loving God, God will turn around any adverse happenings, mistakes, and even wrongdoings, that occur in our lives, to achieve in our life, a greater good."
"We must always love God, and work in his service, in both the good times, and the bad times, in our lifetime, and then God will ensure that any bad time, will come around to serving God, too, as he works miracles in our life, to ensure that this is true."
"There are parts of us that will try to move us towards, desire fulfilment, and sin, but we should reach into our soul, of which, it remains pure, when God is living with us in our hearts."
"We should keep the oil of love burning brightly in our hearts, and this will illuminate then our minds of darkness too, and so then we can truly say, that we are serving God in our lives, with all the strength of our heart, our soul, our mind, and our body then too."
"Try to think twice before every action, and try to determine if what you are about to do, is being done out of love, in the service of God, or not."
"Come to me, your Grandfather, whenever you want to discuss these issues more."

Yes, if we do not learn from our past sins, for sure, we will, repeat them again.

I agree with this mostly. He was a wise Reverend.

Yes, I think that remorse is also a sign of humility too.
We need to recognise our mistakes, and try to make reparations where we can, for our actions, and ask God to forgive us too.

When our thoughts and deeds are aligned with love, our lives become a cakewalk.
Guilt is the heaviest burden to lug around but few still cling to it.
The reality of the world is a culmination of a lack of love and trust among the people, which sadly is passed on down the generations. We burden them with carrying forward unresolved issues motivated by getting even.
It has become a self-defeating exercise in futility.
It is high time we repent for our evil thoughts and deeds and set our sights on the righteous path paved with love.

At least if we have guilt, we still have a conscience.
The ones without guilt, or conscience, are usually the real evil ones in the world, intent on doing more evil, rather than repenting from the occasional mistake, and wrongful dipping into the pool of evil, for a moment.

@innertalks Yes, their evil deeds lay siege to the whole casting a pall of gloom all around.
It is tough to bell the cat as those without conscience go about with a take they have nothing to lose.
They are a law unto themselves.

@innertalks We are never short of surprises and the negative traits of a few shock the majority who find themselves at their wit's end to rise to the challenge and preserve their sanctity
