Yeah baby!!! We’re at 58 degrees right now, going for a high in the mid-60s. Why is that so exciting? On Christmas Eve last year we were about 50 degrees colder. And sn*w on the ground. I went out without my coat this morning and didn’t even miss it! In contrast, last year I didn’t leave my house for four days! Jimmy Buffett music warms up that kind of ridiculous weather, so here’s another song of his from my list of favorites. #8: Tin Cup Chalice Give me oysters and beer For dinner every day of the year I sincerely hope YOUR Christmas dinner is better than THAT! As I said earlier, great song with a terrible menu. Despite the culinary disaster, Buffett definitely got one thing absolutely correct in the lyrics of this song: Salty living, it can stick right to your skin And make you feel fine, make you feel fine One of my all-time favorite Buffett songs…and, as they’re starting to threaten us with colder weather, I think it might be time to “go back down and lie beside the sea there” myself! Tin Cup Chalice Written by Jimmy Buffett From A1A, 1974 I’ve made up my mind:

Oh, this is a Buffet tune I'm not very familiar with! Sounds like one of his characteristic paeans to beach life. My sister moved from the North Carolina heartland to the Georgia coast this year (they literally live at the edge of a salt marsh), and she is just IMMENSELY happy.
