Cameron Reiper who is a Fraser Michigan police officer was involved in the rescue of an elderly female driver who behind the wheel on Saturday evening when she involved in an accident when her truck crashed into a median and caught fire.
Officer Reiper was able to run toward the driver's door while the pickup truck was on fire by grabbing her out of her burning pickup truck and get her of harm's way before the fire could consume her truck.
The name of the female driver was not released as she was taken to a local hospital by an ambulance to be treated for her injuries that are not life threatening.
The cause of the accident is being investigated by the authorities. My belief is that due to the road being dark and the driver being a senior citizen, she could see where she was driving during the night.

I got the idea from a former New Orleans sports radio host who passed away in 2005 since he referred to trolls on the radio as "Squirrels".

I agree with you that driving at night is not worth getting hurt. The avatar I saw on Pinterest since I like the Marvel heroine Squirrel Girl.

A double whammy, an accident, then a fire, lucky she was rescued. It is harder for older folk to drive at night, and perhaps, she should not have ventured out that night.
