Yesterday (Boxing Day) we went to my brother's house for lunch.
When we got in, we sat down and had a drink. I had green tea, my Mum had already had regular tea with one sweetener (Ali calls them pips!) and my step-dad had a coffee. We sat and drank our drinks and chatted. Ali asked me what presents I had, apart from the one they gave me ofcause, and I told them.
Ali said she's booked a cruise! They are setting off today. They are going on a cruise to Amsterdam. Ali said that when we left they were going to start packing ready! She said she booked it last year after watching an episode of Cruising with Jane McDonald! She didn't tell my brother till 3 months later, and they didn't tell the kids till Christmas Day! And that they were setting off two days later!
We went and got some stuff from the buffet. Ali had put some prawns, salmon things and plant based stuff out for me. I had several prawns, some salmon things that were difficult to pick up and kept falling apart, some crackers, some broccoli bites, some tofu bits and some salady bits. There were also some dips and I spooned some of that onto my plate. We took it all to the table. I was going to get up again to get a napkin but my Mum passed one too me. I then asked for a knife to cut up my broccoli bites. It was very delicious and I went back for seconds later!
Ali asked Alexa to play Christmas songs. She said Wham! are number 1. I said, Yeah, and Sam Ryder's number 2!
Ali said she doesn't like Sam Ryder! Then Alexa started to play You're Christmas To Me by Sam Ryder! I'm sure Ali didn't know who it was singing because she didn't make any comment! I was jigging about happily to the song and David said who's that, and I whispered quickly Sam Ryder! so Ali couldn't hear!
We had some Christmas crackers, but I don't like pulling them because I'm scared of the bang! So my Mum and step-dad pulled it for me! Everyone else had a piece of chocolate log but I didn't want any. Dave said he just wanted a twig!
We had another cup of tea. Ali was looking on her phone at the hotel they'll be staying at before they start the cruise. Charlie and Noah were reading the reviews! They said the reviews said "terrible" "worst hotel in the UK" "hotel was OK but the service was terrible!" "terrible service" I couldn't tell if they were joking or not! Ali took the phone and said, "Here, there are some good reviews!"
Ali said they'd got a fish tank and they were going to get some fish. I said we had some goldfish when we were little. We fed them to much and they died and floated to the top all bloated! Then I said we used to change the fish water by putting the fish in the sink! Noah said, "That's not correct!" That set me off in a fit of giggles!
Noah was sucking on some 'retro' sweets. He had a whole pot of them. Ali said, "Don't eat too many of them."
Ali packed up the left overs so we could take them home. There were some baps and pork pies for my Mum and step-dad and the rest of the prawns, broccoli bites and tofu bits for me. I ate some of them for my tea (dinner) that night. I've still got loads left.
The picture is of l-r: My brother David, sister-in-law Ali, nephew Noah and nephew Charlie.
I hope you enjoyed your Boxing Day.
I hope you are all.
Have a nice day.

I think they should be on their way now. I don't know exactly.
Yes, they will be spending New Year on the cruise. They will be coming back in early January.
Yes we did have a good day together. It was lots of fun.
My nephews are 12 now.

Thank you very much. I hope they enjoy their cruise, despite the weather. They might end up staying on the boat!
My leftovers are very tasty. I've still got enough for tomorrows lunch!
Thank you very much, that is very kind of you.
Have a great night.

Thank you very much. Well, they chose a good time to go on a cruise! There's supposed to be a storm brewing. And Amsterdam is not the warmest place to go on a cruise in the first place! Yes, it is a bit expensive. I've never been on one and don't intend to. I might get sea sick, and besides, I don't even have a passport!
