28 December - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening from rainy Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It's been raining all day. The temperature is 37F.
It's been a good day. I have a few things to be thankful for today.
I'm thankful for spending time here with you today. I've now gotten the notifications finished for the third time. It's always fun to know what you're doing in your part of the world.
I'm thankful for the nap I got this morning. I was up at 4 AM with six hours, which is normal for me, but this morning I needed a nap. I got an hour and a half in my recliner.
I'm thankful I remembered to go to Family Dollar and Dollar Tree. I've needed a new shower liner for months, but keep forgetting to get one. I have a new shower liner from Family Dollar. I went to Dollar Tree for a punch bowl for the open house on Monday.
I'm thankful I remembered to invite my sister and brother to the open house. My brother can make it. I'm very happy to see him on Monday.
I'm thankful for Canasta. We played a new version of the game we made up ourselves. It was so much fun.
I'm thankful I talked to my best friend of 49 years. I've tried to call her for several days and just talked to her. We talked for over an hour and got caught up in everything in our lives.
I'm thankful for the work I did on Love's Illusion. I'm still hoping I can finish it in 2024.

Thanks for the update. I'm glad you were able to speak with your friend. I'm thankful that the Browns won AGAIN last night. From what I understand, they will be in the playoffs.

I am going to stop at our family dollar tomorrow to see if they have plastic tablecloths. The Christmas ones should be marked down good.

I am thankful I got my appointment cancelled and didn't have to go into the city, I did not want to drive a long distance.
