In this busy world we live in it may be reasons why you don't get enough sleep continually. Sleeping is very important and with your mate if at all possible.
Here are a few thoughts about sleep:
When we are sleeping cells regenerate themselves, we lay down our memories, and we process our emotions.
8.15 is the normal amount of sleep found in most people to be the ideal amount of sleep needed. More than that can depress the mood.
There are toxins flushed out of your brain each night and it takes 7-8 hours to do this cleaning. Sleeping on one's side is the best position for this cleansing process because of the veins in your neck.
Every 90 minutes you go through different sleep cycles.

Yes, life does tend to go on whether we get all the sleep we need or not.

I never get enough sleep. I know it's bad for you; but I don't know what to do. Have a good weekend and a safe and happy New Year.

You'd have to get with your doctor. Safe and happy to you too.

@celticeagle Doctor has offered me more sleeping pills than I can shake a stick at. I don't even accept them anymore. Happy New Year.

Yes sleep is so important I have come to realize.
I rarely sleep more than 4 hours but that is due to the noise level here.
When it was not noisy I would sleep around 7.
And..I know it is rejuvenating.
