A young girl whose name and age were not mentioned did her part to inform the authorities of a duck that was seen in Greenfield Indiana on Thursday of last week. Members of the Hancock Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation answered the call of a female duck that the girl named Rosealini. The officials of the wildlife rescue team picked up Rosealini and took her to the rehabilitation center where she was given treatment for her injuries of being exposed to the cold elements. Rosealini was then released into the wild three days later after she was cured from her exposure to the cold elements. Jen Hencock who is the founder and director is wondering how did Rosealini wind up in the middle of nowhere in the first place? The good thing is thanks to the concern of the little girl who reported the sighting of the duck to the authorities, the baby duck is free to be back with her family once again. Aw...sometimes ducks wander. I remember as a kid my dog barking at the side window. When I looked, there was a mother duck and her ducklings hanging out between ours and the neighbors' house!

That is very true that ducks like to wander around in dangerous places.

They released her back into the cold? I thought they might keep her for a while. I hope Rosealini is OK.

I am sure that the duck was released to a safer location that is not as cold after the duck was released from the animal shelter.
