The last day

Last day of the month, the last day of the year.
Often on New Year's Day my intentions are to go through things and get rid of the old. Old papers and stuff that have clogged up my desks and files and such.
I am pretty sure I will not stay up late tonight. I hope to have energy for a clear day tomorrow.
One year for New Year's Day Bob took me out to buy binoculars and went went out and watched wild life in the cold. That was my most unique day ever.
Do you have plans for tonight or tomorrow? Or is it just another day?

That sounds like a wonderful way to start into a new year.
We used to live within a reasonable drive of a wild bird observatory, and alot of people would go out on the first day of the year.
Our plans are playing out, we just finished a fantastic supper and are together relaxing now.

@GardenGerty It is funny that you mention dominoes.
I haven't played them since I was a little girl, but I had a dream a few nights ago where I had a nice long curved line of them all set up and was going to show the twins it, and I coughed and it knocked them all over, and then set them up again, and another cough.......you get the idea.
Just try not to cough if you play dominoes.

The new years of the past where Bob took you to see wild life through binoculars sounds like a good memory and one my husband would love. About a month ago my husband gave my two year old $1 to spend. We went to the thrift store in town and my daughter picked out kids binoculars with her $1.

I have this spooky feeling tonight like sitting on a mountaintop that has the sign 2024 and then tumbling down right into the New Year. Tomorrow I am starting fresh with all my online stuff and organizing. I hope you and Bob have a very Happy Healthy and Prosperous New Year! You know what is the funniest thing? The same as with Christmas I am sure I have probably wished many people the same thing at least a dozen times but I figure once you start why not before the new year rings in,

It's been just another day because hub has decided to sleep. No special dinner last night, no New Year's kiss, so far today he's still sleeping so no one has started our New Year's dinner. Happy New Year.
