The American Indian Shaman, Black Cloud, had a tamed wolf, that he had named, Aponi, who lived with him in his Tepee.
This wolf accompanied him on his spiritual journeys into the other worlds.
The wolf helped him in the inner worlds, to see the connections from there to the outer world.
His wolf reminded him of how his soul operates.
We have an animal side of our soul, which lives on the left side of our heart, and then we have a higher spiritual soul, which lives on the right side of our heart.
The wolf reminded him to keep tabs on the animal side of himself, which is mainly only interested in its living from selfishly driven, worldly pursuits, and ego-fed desires.
Our divine soul is present in the foreground of our life, when we use it to connect to God, from our prayers, and scriptural studies.
Both souls operate through the outlets of our physical, and mental selves, through our thoughts, our speech, our intellect levels, our bodily actions, our emotions.
Our animal soul is inactive in us, when we are praying to God, and operating only through our higher soul.
This is essentially at all times when we operate from love, and not from the lower baser emotions.
Love burns in us for God, and this burns away all drosser elements in us.
When we live from consciousness, a by-product of love, loving, we are not just living from thoughts, and other mental reactionary stimulations, but are now living from truth, wisdom, and understanding.
Our divine soul should exude pleasantness from it, going into our life, and its living.
On the other hand, his wolf also reminded him not to be a wolf in sheep's clothing.
This is a man, or a woman, who disguises themselves by putting on the outer pleasantness's, whereas their inner being is nasty, and out to hurt you, like a ravenous wolf is too.
Do not live from your savage side, but from the peaceful side of your higher soul self.

Thanks.
Jesus Christ also warned his disciples that he was sending them out amongst wolves.
Matthew, chapter 10, verse 16:
"I am sending you out like sheep among wolves."
We need to be wary of real wolves too, who just want to pull us apart like wolves do with sheep. We need the strength of the good shepherd to protect us in this world too.
Happy New Year too.

Yes, a helper to snap us awake at times, is very useful. And, it keeps us from being overly focussed, in just ourselves too.

Yes, I have heard it said that if we pamper, and encourage our bad side, it will get badder, and control our life, but if we stick to the good side, with God helping us to do so, we will then be being true to the soul, and person, that God has created us to be.
We can either choose the Devil's way, or God's way, then.

It is a daily challenge to ward off the wolves in sheep's clothing
Now we have scam calls too to deal with hypnotizing the unwary into revealing bank OTPs.
Living from the peaceful, higher self, ensures a life well lived in the service of our creator.
It is an elementary choice to make and reap the spiritual rewards.

Yes, the scam calls, and scam email attempts, are getting more sophisticated. I even get scam emails from my internet provider, claiming that my monthly payment was rejected and to make it again.
To always remain peaceful, despite raging storms around us, can be a big ask at times, especially, if we have been weakened by some physical ailment too.
If I have a headache, or a sore throat, I find it harder to remain peaceful, as I feel irritated a bit, just by these physical ailments, which also prevent me from sleeping properly too.
As I get older, to find peace, in spite of increasing physical ailments might become harder for me too.

@Shiva49 Yes, we just need to take care that we have the right boarding pass, provided to us by God, as if we try to get out of here, with a fake, scammer's boarding pass, we might end up just about anywhere then in the afterlife.
There are scammers around at every stage of our life, and in Christianity, the biggest scammer, is old Satan, himself.

@innertalks They are professionals to deceive the unwary by leading them on the garden path.
They help themselves by pretending to help others.
Age and health play a crucial part in maintaining our sanity in hostile environments.
It seems a losing battle at times when lifestyle changes fast and we are forced to adapt to survive.
Every time I take a flight, I find the parameters are different.
Hopefully, the final flight goes without any hitch!
