CVS Needs to change the name of its Virtual Minute Clinic

7 hours ago, I signed up to meet with a practitioner via the CVS Virtual Minute Clinic. The message I received as a confirmation assured me that I would hear from them in a few minutes. That was 7 hours ago. Still no word from them. I went on their website and left a scathing review. Have you ever used a virtual doctor's office? How did it go?

I did during covid. It was my regular doctor, so it went very smoothly.

My regular doctor doesn't have anything like it.

@DWDavis — wow, even the VA has it now, and I figure they’re the last to get anything!

I've only telemed with my regular primary, rheumatoid and nutritionist in-between in office visits. I tried one time to do a clinic visit with a doctor on call through my insurance's extra services (off my other doctors hours) and he was no help at all. Couldn't prescribe antibiotics that were needed and couldn't help in other ways. Just told me head to Urgent care. Urgent care said he could have diagnosed and prescribed. Waste of time and money.

I have not. I have had such trouble with CVS over the years that I wouldn’t trust their minute clinic. They are terrible, but I understand just needing to be seen.

No and I hope I never have to. In an emergency I will just go to the emergency clinic it is open 24 hours.

Never tried one. Too bad it did not work out they certainly should not let anyone hang around for such a long time waiting,

We have a phone number you can ring for medical advice and I've used that once or twice but that's a bit different to what you're describing.

I've never used one of these facilities. 7 hours is ridiculous. Something isn't working right. Have a good day.
