The Snow is here

Good Day,
The other day I was saying how again the weatherman (ahh people) were telling us about this storm coming and well as it usually happens, we got like and inch or two. Well, they were telling us again and hey we are getting it.
They told us we could get 8-12 inches (20-30.4cm) today and well it started snowing here about 3am and at 1:30 pm our town has snow at 8.3 inches, and it is still snowing. They are saying it should stop snowing about 4 in the morning, another like 12 hours. So, we have hit the low end of the prediction and in 12 hours it’s possible we could hit that foot of snow.
I’m okay with it, I have nowhere to go tonight or tomorrow. They call this type of snow heart attack snow. The reason is, it’s that heavy wet snow that people try to go out and shovel and it’s a bigger workout than they think it’s going to be. They get out there and don’t take it easy and take breaks and overwork themselves and end up having a heart attack trying to shovel.
So, if you’re getting this kind of snow remember to pace yourself and take it easy.
I’ll update you tomorrow with our total. Are you getting show? How much?

@Bensen32 Would a blower work? If not, could I borrow that broom?

@moffittjc Leaf blow works wonders on the dusting of snow.

I'm thankful it rarely if ever snows here in Florida. Here in Daytona, we're lucky if we get more than what'd be considered a light dusting.

@kaylachan LOL I remember years ago going to the south and they got like maybe 2 inches of snow and all the little towns were like ghost towns not a person out.

No, we haven't had any snow, but it's still possible later. Hope you don't get too much.

@1creekgirl It seems like a lot, but I was talking to a neighbor, and we were talking how we would get 2 or 3 of these a year back in the day and now we might get one a year.

My area in Lake Charles has been getting some showers overnight and some cold weather for the next few days. Otherwise no snow.

@Deepizzaguy Ahh okay. I only been to New Orleans and only one time for 4 days and it was nice out. I think maybe the locals would have called it cold but was nice to me. It was in December and going home our flight was delayed as we were getting too much snow. LOL
