Just a little cold out there

Hope you all are doing well and surviving the cold that is sweeping across America.
They told us the cold was going to follow the snow and they were not wrong. The temperatures dropped last night and are not warming up too much today. I’m not sure exactly how cold it got last night but at one point when I woke up, I checked, and it was -17F ( -27C). As of right now we warmed up to -4F (-20C) at 12:30 in the afternoon.
The bad part of it is the wind making it feel more like -27F (-32C) or so says the weather station. I just went to the store, and I can say it feels cold out.
I liked the cold when I was young, I don’t mind it now that I am older, but I must admit this is pushing my ability to enjoy a nice crisp winter day. I know many who can’t stand it when it starts hitting below 40F (4C). I never minded that but now when it gets to zero (-17C) the body just doesn’t pump the blood fast enough to stay warm.
Well, if you’re in this kind of weather stay in and if you do venture out be smart and stay warm. Take care of yourself and each other.

Amen on the last part of your post, that's what
we are doing, & may be stuck indoors for awhile
with ANOTHER system rolls in B-hind this 1.
I just hope it's not as bad by the time it gets this
far east, but if it does we'll deal with it.

@2ndchances24 So true but I was prepared not like I went out in shorts or anything. Besides when it is this cold you should be getting outside and starting that car for a while, or it might not start when you need it to.

My area is excepted to deal with a hard freeze warning from this evening through Tuesday afternoon but no snow.

They issued a wind chill advisory for Kentucky, so I haven’t so much as opened the door to peek outside. The sweetest sound I hear is my furnace kicking on, which means it’s working and I’m warm and have electricity.
