A late lunch: eating my salad while I mylot.

I went to the kitchen when I started to be hungry and discovered that my lunch would still depend on mixed leftovers.
I found in the fridge some cooked sweet corn kernels. There was also a ripe tomato.
So I washed my favorite dish to take to bed, filled it with the corn and while I warmed it a bit in the microwave oven I also washed and dried a spoon and the empty pot.
I´m happy about the new pots I have. Food can be kept there for some time in the fridge.
I washed and thinly cut the tomato. I then added oil and salt and here I am. If I´m still hungry later, I can make an omelette or some scrambled eggs.
And I still have ice cream for dessert. Ice cream is a better buy than chocolate cake at this time of the year.

@AmbiePam I love summer. How hot does it get where you live? Our summers are not humid so they are rather nice.

Avocados are in season now and I can buy some smaller ones that are much cheaper that the big ones that taste the same.

The last time I shopped for groceries I discovered that there was a sale in ice cream if you bought twice the amount. I had the space in the freezer so I did it

do you have winter weather there where you live? I only ice cream in the nice weather and do not like to eat it in winter. I will be eating cottage cheese with hot sauce on it and pickles in it and popcorn and a half a piece of bread with cheese toasted in the toaster oven and a brownie and that is the last of my meals today.

It was a holiday today on account of our festival of Makar Sankranti. So, our lunch was heavy with all traditional delicacies. I had my nephew and niece too joining for lunch. I was full till 10 PM and then had a cucumber tomato sandwich.
