Short story: Every visit to someone is never made in vain

Pastor John Huntsman was a regular visitor to the inmates in his City’s jail.
A few of these hardened inmates thought that because of the way they had lived their lives, God would have no interest in them, so they had also given up on God, and his influence in their lives.
The pastor told them these facts about God:
“God waits patiently for every soul to return to him.”
“We can never fully separate ourselves from God.”
“At all times, God’s door remains open to us all.”
“We can help all who have strayed away from God, and help them to sincerely turn back to God.”
“A return to God, is reowning, and reliving, from our true inner self.”
“Our essence can surface within us again, and we can be who God created us to be, for him here.”
“All of the holes in our lives can be filled with the love of God.”
“God is no thief, to sneak up on you unawares, but God sits patiently waiting for you to approach him nevertheless.”
“God does not make the first move to you, until you make the first move towards him, and yet he has never moved away from you, in fact, he is within you at all times. You just segregate him off, and isolate yourself away from God. Return to God and return to a full life within God, with God, for God.”
Some criminals took notice of what he had said, but the majority took no notice, just allowing it all to pass over them without affecting them.
Nevertheless, Pastor John keep making his visitations to the Jail, to give them all renewed chances to hear the truth of God.
The Pastor would often end his talk to the inmates with this quote from Jesus Christ.
“It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
From the New Testament book of Mark chapter 2, verse 17.

God has placed good hearts even in bad men.
A bad person just needs to reconnect to God, via their heart, to turn their lives around to good.

Yes, these days there is much more chance for everyone to hear the word of God.
In the past, some countries were isolated for thousands of years, like the Australian Aboriginals, and the American Indians. But, I guess, God still talked to them too, as no soul is neglected by God, and all are given the chance to accept him into their lives.

Yes, I hope that they can have some type of an experience that will change them, so they see the light, instead of continuing to live in the darkness, instead.

It is tough to be forsaken by all even for the vilest of people.
Everyone needs a second chance or even more so that the spark of goodness is rekindled and reignited.
Even those who are in the condemned cells should have a few who visit and console them.
It is good that people like Pastor John are there to extend their helping hands to those whom society has given up hope.
I have heard of born-again Christians who have turned their lives around for the better with a take it is better late than never.

Yes, it is not easy for society to forgive crime figures, and evil committed against society, but even the vilest of people should be given the chance to repent, and to change their ways for good.

@Shiva49 Yes, the good can get caught up wrongly in the evilness of the system which more works to favour the bad than the good, in our society these days.
Here, rapists, and killers, are let out on parole, while awaiting sentence, where the good, wrongly accused, are usually locked up until after their trial.
There have been many cases of wrongful conviction over the years too.
In the not so distanced past, laws never even applied to some parts of society, who were more treated as animals, and fauna, rather than real people, and who were rather badly treated, as a result of this wrongful separation.

@innertalks Yes, but, sadly, it so happens even the innocent are incarcerated or even executed when the laws made by us are porous and favor a few.
