I woke up with two big problems.

Good morning, friends. My biggest problem by far is that Juanita, my washing machine has a big problem and I don´t know what it is. I will have to call a technician. The machine leaked yesterday while washed the second load yesterday and I don´t know where is the leak or if it is an easy to fix problem or a big one. I think I´ll first call Mario to check it but I doubt that he will be able to fix it. The second problem is that my house has ants everywhere. They are not in a line yet. It seems that they are the first explorer ones. But I have seen a couple of them in my night table, several on the bathroom sink and many more in the kitchen. I had put up a tiny garbage can near the kitchen sink and I forgot to take out the bag last night. It didn´t have much. Maybe some egg shells and an avocado peel plus some used napkins. Today, when I went for my breakfast, there were several ants around the can. Fortunatly I found a can of Raid spray for ants at the garage. I sprayed the part of the kitchen that had ants but would not touch food. I hope they die. After a while I´ll go back again. I have my lunch heating (I have a shepherd´s pie left from yesterday). I wish there was an ant´s line so that I could see where they come from. But clearly they are explorers. The line will come later if they are lucky. I don´t like ants and in over 25 years I have only had some once. I´m now listening the local news with one ear. And I see that it is not safe to go out. The last way of robbery are done by people disguised as delivery boys. See you later, friends. I´ll go check my lunch.

I remember that my grandmother poured a kettle of boiling water after checking where they came from. But you are helpless when there are just a few of them.

I hope that Mario can fix Juanita. For what concerns the ants, they always come in during some times of the year, but I only see a few.

It seems that the spray killed the ones that I was more worried about. There are no ants in the kitchen today. I´m hoping the Juanita´s problem can befixed easily. The motor is running so maybe there´s a problem with the hoses and that is easier to mend.

@marguicha May be it's only a plastic hose that needs to be replaced.

Wow thats lucky you've only had ants one other time. I hate them coming in by my home. Hard to treat them with having pets. Having a leaking washing machine is very upsetting. I hope it can get fixed rather inexpensively.

And quickly. A washing machine is a very important machine to have.

@marguicha yes! I get backed up on laundry so quickly with 6 of us living here. It’s hard to catch up if the washing machine breaks down.

@shaggin I live alone so I´m not so worried. I washed everything yesterdday before the machine broke down. And Marrio told me that he´d come on Monday evening to check it.

I hope so. I sprayed the kitchen can and I haven´t seen any more ants there. But there are some in the bathroom sink. They are not too many so I´m just using my finger when I go to the bathroom.

I hate ants with a passion. We get them every year. We use Terro (I think that's how it's spelled). The ants take it back to the nest; and you can eliminate them that way. Poor Juanita! I hope she can be repaired. After 20 years our washer is starting to make funny noises. We may need a new one. Had about 6" of s**w; so it wasn't too bad. I'm sorry that it's too dangerous to go out. Try and have a good weekend.

I hope Mario can fix Juanita. The motor is working so the problem should be the hoses which is easier to mend. The ants were killed in the kitchen. There were none this morning. But I´ll leave the kitchen sparkling before I go out.
