Are Flea Markets Still Popular?

I have not heard much talk about flea markets much in the past few years. Do they still exist? Are they still popular? One of my favorite fun goals was to be able to work the flea markets, finding things to sell, and travelling around going to these markets along with my family. Now I am interested in art fairs in much the same way. But wouldn't it be awesome if I could combine those flea markets with the art fairs and sell my arts and crafts at flea markets? I am not into my art to make the big bucks, but to sell it at profitable, but reasonable prices, so anyone can own it. I am not into the art that the rich and famous buy. So flea markets would make great places to sell my art and crafts. What do you think? Are flea markets still popular?

We have a flea and farmer's market on the weekends here. And, there's a popular enough show called "Flea Market Flip" so they do exist. I think you're more likely to find them either in larger cities or areas where there's more demand.

Yeh, I watch that show sometimes. Those are huge flea markets that I would love to visit sometime. The ones I have been to in my area are all inside big buildings with only a small amount outside like on the show.

Yes. I think they are. In fact, many outlet stores are designed around the idea of it. Where we live there are several weekends throughout the year where they have a flea market at the county fairgrounds. They are fun to walk through.

They are in some places but not here. You would have to check into it where you live.
