Today's shopping trip down town.

I went shopping down town again today. I was hoping to get up at 8:00am but I overslept and when I woke up and looked at my watch it was 9:05am! Anyway, I set off at about 11:30am, and I went round Stowe Pool on the top path again. My Mum was going down town too but she set off after me. She wanted to go and get some pads from Superdrug, get some cash out of the bank and get her repeat prescription from Boots. When I got into town I went to the toilet by the Cathedral. After that, as I wasn't getting any photos printed today, I went straight to the down town Tesco. All my Mum wanted from there was two lots of strawberries, but when I got to the till I saw some Amazon gift cards. I got one and put £20 on it, and that can go in my brother's birthday card for him. I then headed off towards WH Smith, but there was a person lying on the floor with a crowd of people round him or her (I couldn't tell if it was a male or a female) One person was asking them if they had any pain anywhere. I went into WH Smith to look for the Doctor Who magazine special edition, The 2024 year book. For a moment I thought they didn't have one, but then I saw it on the bottom shelf right at the back. I was going to take it to the self service till but it said THIS TILL IS CLOSED on the screen. The card only one was working, but I was paying in cash. So I had to go to an actual person to pay! When I came back out of WH Smith they were putting the person on a stretcher. At the bottom of the street was a busker but I think he'd got his amplifier on too high 'cos it was too loud and it was also screechy! The lady who sells the Big Issue wasn't shouting "Big Issue please!" 'cos I guess she knew no-one was going to hear her even if she did! I went in The Works, just for a look round really. I can't remember what I really went in for, if anything! But I had a good look at all the painting stuff, and then I went round and looked at the canvases. Many of them were half listed price. Then I saw some black canvases. It said £12 on them, but then there was a sticker that said half listed price. I picked them up to have a closer look. There were three black canvases in there but then I noticed it said includes metallic paints. So I turned it over and there in the back of one of the canvases was a set of metallic acrylic paints and a small mixing palette. So I thought, OK, I'll have that. So I went to pay for that. As I was coming out of The Works I saw a van and somebody putting a purple sofa out the front of what used to be Riley's fruit and veg shop. I don't know why they were doing that! Next I went to the Waterstones book shop to see if I could get a little something extra for my brother for his birthday. There were lots of book lights and book marks but I don't even know if my brother reads that much. I saw several notebooks and things. After a while I came across a little net of chocolate coins for £2.99 so got those! Well, it's something! Then I went to Iceland, and outside Iceland I saw that the pub we used to go in was closed and it had scaffolding up on part of it. It definitely looked like it was being done up. I don't know wether it's changed hands and that's why they're having a refurb or what. Anyway, I got a basket and went into Iceland. I got Mum some Chinese style chicken curry, a sweet and sour chicken, a paella and 2 packets of microwave egg fried rice. Then I headed for the till. My Mum said I could treat myself to something so I got myself a peppermint aero. It came to just over £11. Then I went home. I didn't go to the toilet by the Cathedral, I just went straight home and went to the toilet when I got in. Then I unpacked the groceries and put them away. My Mum was still out when I got back, so I put her change, club card and shopping list on the coffee table for her. I had my lunch and watched Home and Away. What are you lot getting up to today?
