Indo-French ties on a big uptick with French President Macron's current visit

The French President Emmanuel Macron is on an official visit to India. He was an official guest of honour in the Republic Day celebrations yesterday. He visited the Pink City - Jaipur. Visited a few forts like Amer Fort and Hawa Mahal. Plus a few more heritage places. Apart from this, new Defence, Technology and Trade deals too have been signed. A few French nationals also got High Indian national awards for the work they have done. News source : Times of India amd Hindustan Times

@just4him Yes the Republic Day celebrations were good, and the French President had a good tour of places in India.

He was in Switzerland two months ago. He has serious problems in his country right now. The French people joked that he went to India to escape the actual difficult situation in France.

@LadyDuck Well, there are some pre-planned visits but yes the domestic situation in France too is not that good.
