Today's trip to the little Tesco.

I went to the little Tesco this morning for the first time since before Christmas! My weather app said partly sunny, no chance of rain. But I put my gloves on anyway because I knew it would still be cold out. It was a bit breezy as I was walking to the Tesco. Then as I was walking past my Church I saw that there were some people doing something to the roof (the flat part). They were playing the Backstreet Boys! (It might have been on the radio.) As I was coming up to the crossing some people came off the cycle path infront of me with two spaniels. One was black and another was brown and white. They crossed the crossing in front of me. But after they'd crossed they went off to the left, towards where my Mum's hairdressers is. And I went straight ahead into the little Tesco. I got 2 TV magazines as usual. Then I got a bounty bar for my step-dad. I got a couple of chocolate croissants for my Mum and step-dad, then I went and got some easy peelers. After that I got 2 lots of strawberries. There was a shop assistant on the floor with a crate of something blocking my path. She moved out of the way for me, and then I went and got some Alpen cereal with no added sugar for my Mum. I got 2 bottles of milk and then I went to pay. It came to just over £17, but then just over £16 with club card. i walked away before she could even give me a receipt! Then I set off for home. As I was walking past the Church I couldn't see any workmen, so I presume they'd gone on a tea break. It wasn't so breezy on the way home. When I got home I gave Mum her change, club card and shopping list. Then I unpacked the groceries and put them away. Now I'm watching the telly, and Homes Under the Hammer is about to start! What are you lot getting up to today? I hope you are all well. Have a nice day.

Homes Under the Hammer is a programme about property renovations. People buy properties at auction (ie: "Under the Hammer") and we find out how much they pay for them. Then they tell us what they are going to do to the property and how much they're hoping to spend on it and how long they're hoping it's going to take. Then later we come back and see how they got on, wether they managed to do what they wanted to do, and if they stuck to their budget and timescale. Sometimes their plans have to change or they take longer than they wanted too because they can't get planning permission or it's taking a long time to get planning permission. Then an estate agent goes and looks round the house and says how much they'd be able to get for it if they sold it or rented it out. Some people sell, some people rent, and some people decide to stay and live in the house. There are three properties featured in a normal hour long programme.

@LindaOHio Thank you very much. It's nice to know that you like coming on my shopping trips with me. I had a wonderful day, thank you very much. Except for the wonky wheel on the trolley when we were going round the big Tesco!

My pleasure. I hope you enjoyed coming to the little Tesco with me. Doesn't sound very enjoyable working on the taxes, but I hope you enjoyed Lost. (Silly thing to say, ofcause you enjoyed Lost!) I hope you are well. Have a great night.

I was surprised how cold it was when I went out this morning, it did not look cold and I did not wear my big coat but I soon wished that I had. Workmen do seem to have their music on loud these days. Our back garden was like a disco last week when some workers were doing something on a house at the back of us . Homes under the Hammer is a good programme, I love seeing what people do with the houses. Do you watch Bargain Hunt , it is on BBC1 at 12.15?

Yes, I know what you mean. Same here. The sun shining down can be deceptive when you're indoors. I didn't mind the music as I was walking past. I like the Backstreet Boys! Yes, it is. I like seeing what people do with the houses too. But I don't like it when they make them open plan, or turn it into a HMO or flats! Sometimes I say I preferred it the way it was before! And they go in and they say "It's very dated!" I DON'T CARE! I like dated! I like a house with character. If it ain't broke don't fix it, I say! And I don't like this modern stuff. And I don't like everything all bright white and clinical! I don't want to be dazzled every time I walk into the room! A nice magnolia will do fine for me. I Sorry about my rant! We don't watch Bargain Hunt any more because it's on at the same time as The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross on Sky Arts and we like to watch that. What are you getting up to today? I hope you are well. Have a nice day.

@sharonelton I am well thank you, how are you? Not doing much today, I have already been out to the library this morning, I chose 6 books and now I have to decide which one to read first. The painting programme sounds interesting. I have not watched it before, does it teach you how to paint or do they talk about old paintings or famous artists?

@lazydaizee I'm glad you are well. I'm fine, thank you. I hope you enjoyed going to the library. I don't need to go to the library. My house is full of books! Yes, the painting programme is interesting. He paints a picture in real time, and shows you how to paint it as he's doing it. But he paints in oils. My little nephews have been watching it and they said they were going to do a painting following him.

We also went for a walk, I started off without a scarf but went back to fetch it, it was just too cold even though the sun is shining. Fresh air is just too good to pass up
