Having Trouble Coming Up With Topics to Discuss

Oh how I wish MyLot still had that topic list we could pick and choose favorite topics and get ideas on what to write about. It was a lot easier to come up with ideas.
Sometimes I have looked online for general discussion topics.
I love meaty discussions where there are lots of things to think about and talk about. Things that make people really think. Or at the very least, a large variety of topics to choose from.
Where do you get your ideas from?

Ideas, for me, come from everywhere and everything. There's never one source. But because we can talk about pretty much anything here, everything IS a source. Some days more things come to mind and if I have already done a post or two or three, I just write down what's on my mind to write about and I can always use that list later on if something doesn't immediately come to mind when I sit down to write something.

Just whatever pops into my head. Quite often it's slice of life stuff. Recently it's been our lives during and after my husband's stroke.
