Mackenzie Milcrest - Miss Mac to her students - is a high school English teacher, comfortable with her job, her life and her place in the world. The only thing she loves more than her students is a good book and a quiet night alone to cozy up and read. She's happy... Daniel Evans is a world-famous writer - and for good reason. Over ten years ago, when he was still a teenager, his first book became a runaway hit, and readers have not stopped asking for more ever since. Now, a decade later, he's rich, charming, handsome... and suffering from massive writers' block. Desperate to shake things up, Daniel employs the help of his publisher, who only has to pull a couple of strings to get him a front-row seat to his next novel's setting: a public high school. All he has to do is sit down in Mac's classroom every day and shadow her every move. Strictly in the name of research, of course. The problem is, Mac can't keep acting like he's invisible. Not when the pull he has on her grows stronger every second. Falling in love with Daniel Evans is not in Mac's lesson plan, but can she ignore how beautifully their stories intertwine? ~~~~ What happens when a high school English teacher meets an author whose books she's read but she just can't place the face? And what happens when that English teacher and author meet again for "business" purposes? What an exciting getting-to-know you, getting-to-love-you story. Of course there is the usual conflict and misunderstanding break-up, but is resolved nicely. I really enjoyed this book. It was different than most romances I've read. The setting of a high school, and characters of teachers and an author are a perfect mix. Drama, family, friendship, grief, humor, and a little bit of steam make this a great story. Honestly I just couldn't put this book down. A book lovers delight. I'm looking forward to getting the next two books in this series: The Write Time, and The Write Choice.

I’d like to say meeting the man of my dreams could prompt me to teach, but not even a writer like the great guy you describe could make me deal with a lot of kids in school for hours on end. It certainly sounds like a good book though!

She is a high school English teacher and her students are pretty smart. But I wouldn't become a teacher hoping that I will meet a famous author or find the love of my life. Heck, I've already met famous authors.
