Hey, California Residents and outta state weather watchers

United States
February 7, 2024 3:48pm CST
I live on the Central Coast of California, in a town by the name of Atascadero. The day started of nice enough with the sun out and a few clouds floating by. Then we started having winds and more clouds and now at 1:40 p.m. we're having more winds and rains. They are supposed to get stronger, but we'll see about that. My town is about 275 miles north of Los Angeles. They have been hit hard again from the news I've seen on the computer. There have been bad enough rains to cause more flooding and land slides. They are expecting more of the same for a few hours. I just peeked out the window and what was "light showers" has turned into honest heavy rain and the gutter outside my window is looking like Niagra Falls again. It's going to be an interesting night. The neighbors behind me have to do their cigarette smoking outside, and there have been MANY times that I have gotten an eyeful!!! Not that I meant to, but when you live in an apartment and hear a crash you just check to make sure everything is okay. Anyway, I hope my fellow Californians will keep themselves safe and DO NOT GO OUT UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY!!!! The rest of those of you reaping the benefits from our storms, please be careful too!!!
