I didn't say good this time, because I can't decide if it's good or bad. I'm starting to worry about George. He doesn't seem to want to move, or in the case of last night, couldn't. I thought he was turning around yesterday, but I had a hell of a time getting him in bed last night. I don't want to have to take him back to the hospital, but I might have to if this keeps up. I'm hoping some rest will do him some good. We don't have anyone coming to see him today, so he can rest all he wants while I do laundry and chores.

I'm sorry it wasn't a good day. I hope he only needed rest and is much improved today.

He's a lot better so far. We'll see what the day brings. And, while he woke up with a soaked shirt, it wasn't as soaked as it'd been.

I think that's all it was. He seems a lot better today and even spent a few hours outside.

@wolfgirl569 That's true. He wanted to try, because he wanted to get his Pepsi. And, if I want to use my food/OTC card I have to shop at certain stores in-person. And, unless he's willing to test his limits we'll never know what those are. He's been a lot clearer speech-wise, too.

@kaylachan That is good to hear. He might have pushed to hard with the appointments and shopping

I think he's dozed off again. He acted more like himself today and I could understand him a bit more today. So maybe you're right. Perhaps he was just over tired. His body is healing and establish connections.

@RebeccasFarm I guess I just worried after nearly losing him twice, and having so much happen. I kind of forgot, he was having a rough time of adjusting to a new schedule and routine after first coming home. Well, we have nothing planned so he doesn't have to worry about being bothered to much.

May be someone could come to your home to help him. He needs to exercise.

Oh yeah, and he does. I just think I scared myself when he said 'bye-bye' when I got up for the day.

Now that he's up, he seems to be doing better. I also got him to get out of bed around noon, today.

I hope it’s nothing serious, just being “tired” from all the therapy and re-acclimating his body to things that came so naturally just a few months ago.

I think you're right. He got up on his own around noon, and within about half an hour was sitting outside with some modified Pepsi. When he first came home from the hospital, it took about three days before he started going to bed around ten. Monday, we did a bit more than usual. It involved a lot more walking. I think he's just taking longer to bounce back from it.

Is home care of any sort an option at all at this stage?

We do have a home health nurse that comes to see him once a week. She was out yesterday, and didn't seem to be concerned with him not wanting to get out of bed. He did get up a few hours later, only for me having a hard time getting him back to bed when he was ready to crash. I have to remember his endurance was knocked out of him, and it'll take time to build it back up.
