This time it's interesting bits of trivia about sports:
* Jackie Robinson became the first African American to play in a baseball league in 1947. He took home the Rookie of the Year Award in the same year went on to receive the Most Valued Player Award in 1949 and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
* Althea Gibson paved the way for African American athletes by winning a Grand Slam title in tennis in 1956. Arthur Ashe and the Williams sisters weren't far behind.
* Gabby Douglas won the Olympic Gold Medal in gymnastics in 2012 at the London Olympics. She was the first African American to win it.
* Tiger Woods was the youngest(21) and the first African American to win the Masters Golf Tournament in 1997.
* In 1988 Doug Williams was the first African American quarterback to win the Super Bowl MVP award and start in a Super Bowl winning the Super Bowl XXII.
