As my daughter and I recovered from my 2nd adventure and marriage I began to see my old friend(RK) more and more. He was very intelligent, he was fun, he wanted to travel, he wanted a better life. I did too. I was excited to listen to him talk. I wanted to learn how to be more confident and worldly. I wanted to learn more about life and knew he could teach me. He started getting me to wear more interesting clothing and I began a personal makeover. He showed me how to wear my hair and how to dress in ways that were more attractive. He went with me to a hair salon and showed me how he thought my hair would look good. It was long and I had it layered and died a strawberry blonde color. I got a perm in it too which looked really good. I went along with his ideas and input. I loved the outcome. He got me on a salad(YUCK!)diet and I lost about 80 pounds over the next year. I think this might be one reason I hate salads and vegetables now. (DCN had never cared about that extra weight).
I met his family which I fell for immediately. His mother was quiet and sweet, his dad was a card. He had three sisters and two brothers. His younger two brothers were a bit distant. I was later to find out why. His younger sisters were nice and friendly but the older one I really clicked with.
We moved into a large apartment with his second oldest brother. I really liked him and he was a great roommate. After a couple of years, he met someone and got married. We no longer had a roommate and so we moved into a fancy mobile home. We continued to socialize with his brother and new wife. I couldn't stand her. She was one of those prissy types I can't stand.
We were going over to his parent's place a few miles from Boise a couple of times a week. They were very family-oriented. His oldest sister and I became fast friends. She was a dear person and so much fun.
RK and I bought a brand-new car. My very first and only new car. It was a Buick Skyhawk. Loved that car. He showed me how to buy it and get a good deal. He went through hell teaching me to drive a stick shift and, his sister was the one who finally finished and was able to teach me to shift and things that RK had no patience to talk me through.
I will post the other two parts tomorrow or Sunday.

Yes, he did. I appreciate his help in the make over. Just didn't know it was all a deal between the two of them.
