I was now about 100 pounds and jogging every day before going to the telephone company to work the evening shift. RK worked at the sawmill in the town where his parents lived. Hours there had been cut down a lot as the mill was going out of business. RK wasn't making much and I was paying our way. RK and I also did a lot of traveling. We went to Las Vegas to gamble as well as traveling down to northern California and I was able to eat fish at Fisherman's Warf and see the beautiful redwood trees for the first time. We also went down to where a school chum of his lived and visited with them for a weekend. My daughter was growing into her teen years and was spending more time away from home at friends and socializing. I didn't see my mother hardly at all. I had the impression RK didn't like seeing me and my daughter together when he couldn't be with his son of whom his ex-wife had full custody. That was a sore place with him so I didn't bring it up. My daughter and I spent time together but I tried to be thoughtful and scheduled our outings and time together when he was working. We went forward with going out nearly every weekend and drinking a lot. We visited sex stores and places where you could watch sex videos and such. I had never gone to these places before and it was quite eye-opening. I wasn't into it but he always had us going there and, I was on another one of my adventures and was seeing an entirely different side of life. Curiosity about so many avenues of life led me down some interesting ones.
