Born in London in 1904 she fell down the stairs and died at the age of three. (What a sentence, huh?) An hour later she was breathing again and, after this trauma, she changed. She spoke English with an accent and when she saw the Egyptian statues in a British museum she said these were "her people". She even talked about her life in Egypt. At the age of 29, she moved to Egypt and later gave birth to a son whom she named Sety. She was called Omm Sety(mother of Sety). She was never formally trained yet became a well-respected colleague of many of the foremost Egyptologists. She spent 50 years working as a draughtswoman, writer, and unconventional historian. It is believed that memories of reincarnation are brought on by trauma. Also, people may be brought back to a reincarnated state if they have some function to complete. Dorothy had a great knowledge of one of the major temples and the artwork within. This temple was a holy place for the Egyptian people. When she walked into the temple for the first time she knew where everything was located and how to find certain chambers. She was able to interpret certain hieroglyphs even in the dark. The head of the Egyptologists took her to an area only he knew to test her. It had taken him months to decypher this particular wall and she was able to discern it all. She became one of the most important Egyptologists and translators in the world and yet she had no formal education. I think this story is fascinating. What are your thoughts on reincarnation? You can take a more in-depth look at her life and the things she was able to do at the link below.

Somehow, though it goes against some religious dictates for me, I know there is something to this reincarnation stuff.
