Happy Sunday

I got up today and realised it was Sunday and it is the day we all go off to services or we have a lay in or we catch up on some stuff that the week has been too busy to do such as cleaning out the garage or opening up the attic or some other household thing. And it got me thinking that even though the ancient Greeks had faith of sort they weren't all that wrong. If you think about it The Greeks had Hercules who was strong physically and the son of Zeus who is the God of Gods so in short the God of all They used Gods as a means to explain the operations of the world from how we feel to what we do. For example, they had the Goddess Aphrodite who was the Goddess of Love, Christianity has the feelings of love and compassion for our fellow beings in life. I know this is rather confrontational but I thought it interesting that in some ways their way of thinking isn't so different to our way of thinking as Christians. So what I'm saying is that instead of looking at gaping differences between faiths try to find similarities between our faiths whether that is another form of Christianity or a different religion altogether. Life is too short to condemn others for their beliefs we should instead share in the love that most faiths reflect. Let's follow the GOLDEN RULE. - show kindness to others, do to others what you want others to do to you. If you see someone struggling then help them out, not because we are Christian but because it's the right thing to do as a human.

I don't see myself favoring any one religion over another. I believe what I believe and that's that. I hope your sunday is a good one.

And avoid evil ones. Very important in life. Many take my kindness as weakness. I am not downing anyone for being kind, just be careful. Nice to see you Philip.

No one expects you to help everyone , just when an opertunity to help presents itself to help then do it . It doesnt have to be money help it could be as simple as helping an ederly or disabled person to carry their groceries to their car. It could be being at the library and seeing someoneone stuggling to reach for a book on a shelf or it could be dropping a kind word to someone who looks sad and just needs a listening ear. No one is saying give all your resorces away but help when you can.
