What happens next after death?

My mom used to say that maybe when people die that is the end of life no more after life and no heaven or hell because heaven is here and hell could be already here on earth.
The common belief is that when we die we go straight to heaven or hell depending on how good or bad we are.
If I am going to tell my belief in death is that all people will be sleeping in their graves and one day God will wake us all up for the judgement day
Catholics believe in purgatory.
My aunt believe that on the 3rd day after my mother died her soul is alive again and she knows already that she is dead.
Please please help me I really not sure what happens after death. Please share your own belief. Thanks

I don't know what happens in our next life,but i believe the energy is balanced.When you did good things,you'll live in a happy family in your next life.When you did bad things,you'll pay for what you did in your next life.
But like Kim Families in North Korea,Communist members in China,Talibans in Afghanistan,they committed the anti-human crimes,they won't have the next life,that hell is their only destination.

I don't think any belief is wrong. We have no way to know until we do die.
