Trump can’t post full amount for appeal bond

Trump’s lawyers have asked an appeals court to allow him to post a $100 million bond for the NY civil fraud case rather than the $454 million that is required to file the appeal. That is less than 25% of what is required. They also asked for a delay in the 30 days before he has to pay it or have assets seized. NY attorney General Letitia James predictably has asked the court to deny the request. You know what this move means? Trump doesn’t have the money. Mr Supposed Billionaire can’t fork up the $400+ million he claims to have on hand. That doesn’t even factor in the $83.3 million that he owes E. Jean Carroll for the defamation lawsuit. Trump must be enraged that his lawyers had to ask for a bond so much lower than the actual amount. It demonstrates that he isn’t nearly as wealthy as he likes to claim. Wait? Trump lied? SHOCKER! Edited to add: I was thinking about this a few minutes ago. Mar-a-Lago is registered in New York. When Trump can't post the full bond Tish James will move to seize his assets. She could go after MAL which Trump has repeatedly (falsely) claimed is worth $1 billion. If she did that our heads would spin at how fast he claimed that it was only worth $18 million as the Palm Beach tax assessors valued it. ETA #2: The appeals court has already denied the application to delay the enforcement of the disgorgement. (collection of $$) ETA #3: And the judge has now also ruled that he has to post the full amount rather than the fraction Trump's lawyers asked for. He/she did lift the ban on him obtaining loans from NY banks though.
