I want to change my last name

I want to change my last name, but I don't know if the Israeli government will let me. My late husband changed his last name when he came to Israel because he wanted something that was in Hebrew. So he took his father's mother's last name. Horbacz. Well, that didn't go well because people were confused with the cz, and the H at the beginning. So he changed it to Orbach. I am not connected with this name, and would rather something else. It has been a year since he passed away. So I want a fresh start and maybe a new last name would help. The problem, is that the children feel connected with the last name. . . What to do???

There is something about that the shole family has to agree to change the name, and you can only do this every 7 years. So if \I change my name now, and then get married, I have to wait another seven years to change to the married name.

That is a hard decision to take. I am Italian, we keep our maiden name also after we are married, I do not know what to suggest here.

That is a tough question. Since my dad was a popular Latvian poet and writer I never wanted to lose my birthname. So whenever I got married I kept my maiden name and attached the married name. Officially my name to quite long because my parents also gave me three names. Anyway, I might still have a married name attached must mostly I just use my first name Rasma and my maiden name Raisters and professionally online I am known as RasmaSandra with Sandra being my middle name, Talk about confusion. Now I have not idea what Israeli rules are but it would be ideal if you could change your last name but leave the children with the father's last name,
