Iris Apfel(1921-2024) was called the matriarch of maximalism. More is more, and less is a bore. She was an American businesswoman, interior designer, fashion designer, and actress. She was known for her outspoken personality, flamboyant style, oversized eyeglasses, and red lipstick. She was in business with her husband from 1950 until 1992. Clients included such presidents as Truman and Clinton, Greta Garbo, and Estee Lauder. She was a fashion icon and signed to IMG( International Management Group) in 2019 as a model at the age of 97.
She died at the age of 102 at her home in Palm Beach, Florida Saturday, March 2, 2024.

What a remarkable woman, she was definitely a flamboyant success! Like Mary Kay, she made a way for herself, then she climbed to the very top:)

I think so too. I love it when I hear of women who go for what they want and don't care what others may think. Very remarkable.
