My washing machine is going crazy!

I have a 1.5 year old washing machine, that usually works well. One load I put in and it finished within the time span that the machine reported on the front. The second load however has been on 20 minutes to finish for the past TWO hours! This is crazy! That was the reason that I replaced the old one, because it took three hours to do a load. I don't want to pay for all this extra electricy and water that the machine is going to use.
What do you think is the problem?

Mine takes just over an hour to do a wash. If the clothes are very dirty, I set it to a shorter cycle. I hope you find out what's wrong with yours.

Without seeing it, I can't tell you. What kind is it? Did you have it set on a soak cycle? Try adjusting the settings?
