Independent Senator Kyrsten Sinema announced today that she will be retiring from Congress at the end of her term this year. She used to be a Democrat but more often than not she was a thorn in the side of Democrat senators because she often blocked their plans and sided with Republicans. She is like the female version of Joe Manchin. Much like Republicans call politicians who don't go along with Trump's insanity "RINOs" (Republican in name only) you could call Sinema a "DINO". It was no surprise when she renounced her membership of the Democrat party and declared that she was an independent. She was in 3rd place in the polls for the upcoming election. Now it likely will be Democrat Reuben Gallago vs Republican Kari Lake. Sinema has a big ego and wouldn't have wanted to get trounced in an election. I saw an interesting tweet by former GOP advisor that she will be the candidate for No Labels in the presidential election. I can see that. Her ego won't allow her to lose her current Senate seat but it also would propel her to run for the highest office in the country. I do appreciate the hard work that she did on the bipartisan border bill that Trump tanked. Other than that, though, see ya Sinema! Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you!

I feel that if a person has been elected by a certain group as a Democrat or a Republican, they should stay in their party and represent thier constitutuents and not chnge in the middle. If the person changes, they should resign their seat and have new elections for someone who will do what the people really want. This system that allows elected officals change in mid term is not good for the country and democracy.

She should have stayed loyal to her party. I hope she has a good retirement.
