When it comes to indie music and the certain sound it has, and you listen to some of my original songs, one can easily detect at least one of the influences it has had on me over the years. Of course, I also grew up in the 80s and it had a sort of similar indie sound, in my opinion to some degree. I was a huge fan of Talking Heads and still that band continues to be one of my favorite bands to this day. They definitely had their own unique sound a quirky lyrics and melodies. Like most indie music does, and certainly this song, "Space Song," by Beach House is one of those songs that is dreamy and whimsical and wispy, just the way I like them. But it is also a song I am sure you have probably never heard before even though on YouTube alone it has had 147 million spins and Spotify shows over 1 billion plays. Yep. That's with a B.
