Wright City firefighter Cameron Spires is being praised for his actions of risking his life to enter a house on Friday afternoon when a home that caught fire that had a lady and an infant who is around three to six months of age that were inside their bedroom.
Cameron was able to get the infant boy out of the burning bedroom and hand the infant boy to a police officer who assisted the firefighters during the fire.
The lady who is likely the mother of the infant was rescued by Cameron when he managed to use his life saving skills to remove the female fire victim out of the fire.
Sad to report the mom who is 23 years of age passed away from her injuries in the fire in the hospital the same day.
The boy is being treated in the same hospital for injuries he suffered in the fire. Wright City Missouri Fire Chief Ron Macknight praised his firefighters as well as the police officers for doing their part to rescue the persons who were inside the home at the time of the fire
The Missouri State Fire Marshal believes that the fire began either in the kitchen or garage .
