The Colder Part of a Pile of Sh*t

I'm so tired of it. My daughter is about the only one to do things around here. She wants to be in bed sleeping as much as she can(I think it is due to her smoking and the medication she is on)and, I feel like the colder part of a pile of sh*t. We have an HQS Housing Inspection coming up in about 2 1/2 weeks. That's the big one, not the local one that is also done annually. Mopping, tidying up and cooking don't seem that hard to me but for her, she gets sick and doesn't feel well about 9/10s of the time. So not much gets done. Gets worse each year. My grandson can't do it cause he has a condition that causes him to have delusions and headaches. He only knows how to cook a few things, and I don't think I've ever seen him mop. So, I feel like the colder part of a pile of sh*t. What do I do? I choose our groceries and set up delivery, I set up both the kids' medical check-ups and transportation monthly, I organize cleaning schedules, I set up the internet service, I choose the TV apps, I have good credit and do all the financial things needed to maintain our lifestyle, I pay the bills each month, I remind daughter and grandson when certain household activities need to take place(like cat litter dumping, trashes, mopping, vacuuming, etc.), I am my daughter's payee and make sure her financials are taking care of, and I go f*cking nuts when things don't get done! Like right now. Okay, so I don't want to be in a clique at the old folks home. Those women are like mean girls with medical alert bracelets. Haha. I stole that from a scene in "Queen Bees", a cute movie on Netflix about some old ladies at old folks' homes. Ellen Burstyn, Ann-Margaret, Christopher Lloyd, James Caan, and Jane Curtin are all in one place. Somehow it made me think about a situation that could come up at any time in my life. I don't want to go to an old foaggies home where all my money will go to pay for it and I will have no money to do anything with. What if a person-- say in their mid-70s or older is in a medical situation and has to be revived?-- You know that paper you sign as to how you want to be treated if such a situation should arise? Well, I have mine set at adequate/mid-range, meaning they would not beat me to a pulp trying to revive me, but would do an adequate job. At my age(72)I don't think my body could handle being bruised and manhandled to do all they can to bring me back. But, I want to live. When the finality of it seeps in how will I know one way or the other? Ever had these thoughts? Guess I should have thought ahead and had a hefty 401K. Talk about seventh circle of h*ll.

If I was in that state of affairs, I am not sure I would want to be revived to live in the seventh circle of hell as you so aptly described it. As it is in my world, I sure would not want to be revived.

I hope all goes well with the inspection. I haven't seen the movie. I hope you won't need to worry about someone beating you to a pulp anytime soon.

I'm sorry you're not getting the cooperation you need to get the cleaning done. You could call that new service that charges $19 for your first cleaning. Homeaglow. I want to live in my home for as long as I can. Try and have a good week.

I could call Homeaglow but I think there must be a contract involved. I would like to live at home but if the home is horrible I will go to the old folks home willingly.

@celticeagle You probably have to commit to further cleanings at their regular prices.
