Election campaign money ... is it needed in these days and times?

People come to my doorstep every five years or so. People I have never known, so I don't recognize. I don't know if they did any work. I did not ask them for anything. So I don't know how I am obliged to them. Anyway, they come to my doorstep to ask my vote. There are hoardings...ugly ones...all over the town. Few politicos are good looking. I don't know if they smell good too. I doubt if they do. Then there are loud sounds and songs to get them the votes. These go on for days at a stretch. So that is where my campaign money is going. Why can't they use Internet to do the campaign? Oh but they are already doing that, and even TV channels. So why come to my door step. You stand there, you get more chance to tell me what you did for me or our colony. Then I decide whether you are worthy of my vote or not. These types of campaigns don't cost money. The hoardings require illumination during the nights. After elections those papers and cloth are wasted. National waste. Will not be reused. Moreover, I did not ask that person to stand up for election. If he did it on his own, he needs to work harder for people to be remembering him. Right? If he really worked for people, it is unlikely that people would forget him. That is my take on this issue. No more money for election campaigns. Whichever mode.

And they spend a fortune on that. These political parties are so rich.. There is a big Nexus to convert black money into white by donating to these political parties. Sad but true!!

Without elaborating my loathing of campaigns, no, campaign money is robbery.

I wonder if they spend the entire collection. Never give in cash is the way I work.

No matter where you live, those running for office are always looking for campaign money. This is an election year in the U.S. too.

In the US millions are spent on TV, print and in-person rallies, etc. Have a good week.

Printing is such a waste of money. I have always thrown those pamphlets away. Spending on TV channel appearance is fine.
