That's right, it was supposed to say der, I'm being funny. Deal with it.
We did some running around this morning, dr's appt and med pick up and some other random stuff before deciding that we wanted some food. I wasn't exactly starving, but I knew I needed to eat with the meds I was about to take. That being said we hightailed it to the Pizza Hut in Geneva, Alabama.
We we're going to do what we usually do and get personal pan pizzas, but because we are on a strict budget, we decided to do the cheapest meal deal we could. We got the Dinner Box, which was one medium square pizza with pepperoni and extra cheese, breadsticks, and cinnamon sticks. We each got a sweet tea.
With tax etc it was $20.99. We left a tip so it ended up being $25.00.
But still better than what we would of paid for subpar cheeseburgers and soggy fries. There was plenty of leftovers too, so it'll probably end up being dinner as well.
so $20.99 divided by 4 is $5.24-$5.25 per serving, since it will feed us for two meals. Not too bad if you ask me.
What did you have for lunch today? Was it cheaper or more expensive than our pizza adventure?

School lunch pizzas were always square. And the big dinner boxes always have square pizzas.

What kind of sandwich? What kind of chef boyardee? Theres a million of different kinds of sandwiches, and a bunch of different ravioli, spaghetti or whatever else Boyardee makes.

When I heard "pizza hut" in the title, Frugal is not the word I'd use. But, understandably..... because I used to work there and I know how pricing can be. While two personal pans would've been cheaper (at today'spricing even) the dinner box does work out to be the better option, when you consider you're getting leftovers out of it.

@thislittlepennyearns True, but I can only really base it on the pricing here. But, then prices have gone up a lot since I've stopped working there. Although that's everywhere, so....

Two personal pans was not cheaper. It was in fact eight dollars more expensive, which is what I stated in the post.

That still seems a lot to me but these days with all that food and leftovers it is worth it. I had ordered a marinated pork loin with my groceries. I slow-cooked the pork loin with diced tomatoes and garlic, Now today I pan-fried seasoned fries, added the pork which now came out like pulled pork, and shredded cheddar and it all came together delicious, I also have more pork loin I can use. The pork loin came from Walmart at about $6 per pound and cost close to $7 so a bit over a pound,
