Funny How Life Is

I had been sick for about a week with something I still wonder if it was COVID. I had 7 out of 11 symptoms. Ugh! I was sick. I drank Alka-Seltzer and ate very little. I found Lemon Ginger tea very soothing and drank many throughout that week. Well, now I don't drink pop very much like I used to and I am more careful with what I put in my stomach. It's still a bit tender. Isn't it funny how life goes? After a bout of this sickness I am now drinking a lot more tea and pop isn't a favorite with me like it used to be. Have you had anything happen in your life to make such a change happen in your life?

While I had Covid, my appetite and my stomach wasn't normal. I kept using baking soda, then I'd drink a little bit of cold water. This settled my stomach, but I still couldn't eat as much food. I napped quite a bit, but didn't sleep. After a week, I felt a little better each day. My stomach still isn't back to normal. I hope you're doing better:)

I am. Yep. I think that must be what I had. I read somewhere that having COVID can lead to other illnesses later on. Things you wouldn't think were connected. Ugh!

@celticeagle I am beginning to see that I am right in thanking the Lord for my health every day. I also believe that I was right in my decision not to take any of those vaccines rightly or wrongly.

I remember dealing with COVID 19 like coughing and wheezing a lot and not being able to eat any food for a few months in 2020.

@Deepizzaguy I'm still having a hard time eating, like I did before. Now, I have a touchy stomach, it gets easily irritated by many foods.

I hope you are feeling much better now. I still wonder if I had covid before it was known as covid - never been that sick before. I used to love spicy foods . . . as I got older my stomach couldn't handle it as much. But these days I get this chocking sensation when I eat spicy foods . . . like the "spice" gets caught in my throat or something. I don't like that feeling at all, and I have to think twice about any spicy foods in front of me now.

Ugh! One thing about COVID is the many medical issues experienced long after the virus is gone.

@much2say ......I get vertigo occasionally. It can be just awful. Sorry to hear of your friends with this aftermath of COVID. I just hate it. I seem to have a breathing problem. Something I didn't have before.

@celticeagle That's the thing about covid . . . we have friends who have these lasting medical issues. One had vertigo for months. One seems to have asthma when she never had asthma before. Another got some neurological damage. Friends of friends got worse issues. This covid stuff is no joke!

I have had times like that. As we age, our lives change. Interests, too.

I know what you mean. Well I am not sure what I had changed about eating and drinking, except very little sugar now not like I used to. Glad you are better though. I too love that Alka Seltzer for illness.

Yes, it always helps when I have tummy woes. Grandma introduced me to it.

Do you get coconut water there? Lemon ginger tea is very good. But instead of tea, I'll suggest water. Among other things, cucumber and water melon.

I got some coconut water but didn't care for it. I drink a lot of water. And in different ways. Have been adding electrolytes to it. It is tasty and good for me. We will be having watermelon in a month or so.
