I want the whole low down ! ! !

Well folks, down B-low is the whole scoop of what my main Dr. had to say after I had sent her the video about the meds I'm on & what I found on the video on the effects it has with them not mixing together, that has me worried. So I told her thank you for the response & if we could get a ultra sound of my pancreas to see if it's healing or what it's doing since I've been out of the hosp almost 6 mons. I will hopefully get a response sometime this week to see what we're going to do, just so I will know & maybe ease my stress level, cause She knows my health, so maybe she will order a ultra sound or do something to check it. The reason I want my pancreas checked is cause when I get sick it gives me NO WARNINGS till it's too late & that's what scares me the most, so yea wouldn't you ? I'll be gone most of the day Wens cause hubby has a Dr.'s appt at the VA hosp so I'll have to get back up with you sometime Thursday if it's not raining too hard K? Till then, take care, be sweet, have fun, & lots of faith. (Good morning, I understand your concerns. You've been through a lot! Every medication (even over the counter medications) have side effects that are possible. Depending on how your body metabolizes the medicine, there can also be potential interactions with other medications and foods. Each time someone prescribes a medicine, we review your entire list and meds and the potential risks. Unfortunately, sometimes we have to accept low risk situations in order to help improve your overall health. We only do this if we feel the benefit to you is greater than the low risk. These are the reasons that we monitor the situations with lab work. This is how we can be sure the inside of your body is responding and tolerating the medications well. If you'd like to discuss any of this in more detail, I'm happy to do so. Please, just make an appointment.)

Thank you, yeah I'm hoping we can do something where I can get my stress level down & try not to worry as much but it's hard not to when your body don't give you no warning signs to go by.

Just what I expected her to say. That's the same bare bones explination of risk-benifit assment that doctors give to the general public. Good luck with getting your medical risks resolved.

@2ndchances24 Yeah, I can understand that. But, realize you're not her only patient.

Yea but when she says I don't want to see you till AUG knowing the health issues I have & are prone to now it makes me kinda stressed not knowing what's going on.

@kaylachan I know that, that's with any Dr in any field of work, that's why I don't run to 1 every time I feel a tooth ach & don't have no teeth.

Yeah I am too & it was my Dr that responded & not 1 of the staff, so that made my day right there.

I'm glad she responded back to you. It's basically what I said in your posts yesterday when I watched the video.

Yeah I know but, I had to find out for myself from what the dr had to say about it since she is the 1 that has been seeing me for the past 5-6 yrs, it's not a bad thing to do research & ask questions about something your not sure about right?

You have to be careful about relying too heavily on the Internet and YouTube videos for medical advice. I am glad you were able to bring your concerns forth and the doctors/nurses were able to offer some additional information that is hopefully helpful to you.

@2ndchances24 At the end of the day, I don't care if the doctors like my questions. It's MY health and that's all that matters.

I don't rely on the internet a lot when it comes to my health, but it helps to know what I'm trying to learn about all this the best I can, cause this is the 1st time I've had to deal with this & never thought I'd be 1 to have to worry about this. That's why I asked the Dr about it but from what she said, I just feel like she wasn't too happy I'm questioning her medical attention on this. ooops.

I'm with you there, but at the same time we have to have faith trust in some 1 that can do what needs to be done to keep us alive for another ? yrs longer. right? Other wise why go to a dr at all if your done with life, which I'm not just there YET.
