A heartfelt romance can really put you on "Cloud Nine." So, will end this series with this 9th edition of these "love-titled songs."
As I'm sure you know, there are so many expressions one can use to show how committed they are in their relationship, and how much they love their partner. Some of those phrases might be: "I love you to death." "You're the apple of my eye," "You take my breath away," and "I love you with all my heart and soul."
Now that's a "Lotta Love" as Neil Young might say... and today's titles share that sentiment. See if you "feel the love."
Comments, musings about the songs, and your own favorite "love titled" tunes and trivia always welcome...
LOVE IS ALL AROUND- THE TROGGS (1967)
-This Top Ten tune's lyrics oozes nothing but love. "I feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my toes." "You know I love you, I always will, my mind's made up by the way that I feel, there's no beginning, there'll be no end, Cause on my love, you can depend." You might remember The Troggs previous hit "Wild Thing" which reached the #1 spot. Anyway, I "love" em' both! Enjoy this live video performance...
TRIVIA CHALLENGE
***Now for our trivia music challenge for those who like to play along. Words in "quote marks" provide valuable clues! See if you can guess the song, artist or facts below...
1. Today's love song "I can't Stop Loving You" was recorded by this "black artist" who also happened to be "blind." Radio DJs played it constantly helping to make this tune a big #1 hit on the US Pop, R&B and Easy Listening charts. This song was originally recorded by Country artists, but this performer made the song his own. Along with two other notable #1 hits from this singer, "Georgia on My Mind" and "Hit the Road Jack, this was his first Gold Record.
-Do you know the name of this African American singer and piano player?
2. This "Disco Queen" added this "sexy tune" to her list of love songs like "Hot Stuff," and "Bad Girls." It was her first big hit, and the song was filled with grunts, groans and moans throughout. The tune was so hot the word "LOVE" is used "twice" in the song title, along with another word which means "infant." It's an endearing term that one might "call a lover during intimacy."
-Can you name this female singer and her love-titled song filled with sexual inuendo?
3. This "70's group" was so "good" they used "the opposite of that word" to describe their name. The 2nd part of their name could be a "another word which describes a business" or "another word for an army battalion or platoon." Put the 2 clues together and you have the band's name. This band used love as a theme in many of their songs like "Can't Get Enough of (Your Love) and Feel Like Makin' Love." This love song's "title begins" with a word which "means someone is "all set" or "at the ________." The tune's title then is "__________ for Love."
-Could you figure out the band and their love-titled song from these clues?
Ok, hope you enjoyed this "love fest" series. Wishing your "labor of love" finds some correct answers to these trivia songs and artists. If you're stuck and need additional hints just let me know in your response. I'll be glad to supply one. Or, as the vocal group The Four Tops would say, "Reach Out and I'll Be There."
Thanks for reading and responding to my music post!!! I will return with a new edition in the near future. Hope you can wait till then, lol. Stay tuned...

To answer your questions are the first artist you mentioned is the late Ray Charles who I attended a concert of his in New Orleans a long time ago.
The second artist that you mentioned is the late Donna Summer who I am a huge fan of her music as well as persona since she was a very good and honorable person on and off the stage. It is a shame that I never saw her perform on a stage other than her television appearances.

Love is all around, no need to waste it…HEY! That doesn’t sound like the theme song to The Mary Tyler Moore Show!
1. Yeah, Ray Charles blah blah, but “I Can’t Stop Loving You” was written by and originally a hit by Don Gibson! (Of course, you were waiting for me to bring that up, country music geek that I am.) Fun fact: the historical significance of Brother Ray’s Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music was among the contributing factors leading to his induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
2. I liked comedian Dennis Blair’s take on that…she sounded like she was in pain, so she should’ve been singing “ah, pass the Kaopectate.”
Love to Love your trivia, baby…in (Donna) Summer and every other time of year!
3. Paul Rodgers was the lead singer of displeasing acquaintances. Am I bad company to you? (Funny thing: Bad Company’s “Rock and Roll Fantasy” just came on the radio here in the restaurant. It really would have been freaky if “Ready for Love” had played instead!!!!)

Hmm, I knew I heard that phrase love is all around somewhere, lol. Ha, ha, I had a hunch you just might add some Country trivia in there. And of course, Kitty Wells, who was a very popular country singer, recorded this later in 1958. Her version was a huge country hit.
How an R&B singer like Ray was able to pull off such a success with a bunch of Country & Western songs was amazing to me, but yet, that LP was a big hit! Charlie Pride would have been proud of his effort.
Donna was feeling something during that song. A pain that "Hurt So Good."
No kidding.
Now that is some coincidence. One better would have been Paul singing his hit "All Right Now" from his time with the band "Free. Bad Company produced some classic 80's rock amid all that Punk and New Wave music.
Thanks for all that terrific trivia and comments.
