Brevard County deputy saves her K 9 partner from jumping off a bridge

Brevard County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) Deputy Lauren Donaldson was returning to her squad car on the evening of Tuesday March 5 after she made an arrest of a suspect on the 528 Causeway in Florida that connects Merritt Island which crosses the Indian River when her K9 partner Zeppelin attempted to jump off of the bridge for some reason that is not known.
Deputy Donaldson was able to save her female Belgian Malinois dog who weighs 75 pounds from likely dying from the fall from 75 feet into the river by grabbing his leash and yanking the dog back on the bridge after getting her female partner over the guard rail safely.
The good news part of this story is that the dog is in good health after her owner saved her from making an error in judgement by attempting to jump over the guard rail to the river below.
