The Biden campaign is taking a page from the Lincoln Project's book

For most of this campaign the Biden-Harris campaign has been focused on showing the country the good that his administration has done--Inflation Reduction Act, CHIPS Act, $35 cap on insulin for seniors, Medicare negotiating prescription drug prices, etc. The thing is that a lot of these things have been passed and are in progress but Americans aren't visibly seeing the difference just yet in their communities and in their wallets. Building highways and repairing bridges takes time. Medicare hasn't even started negotiations yet. So recently the campaign has added another angle to his campaign: needling Trump, pointing out his absurdities, and basically just trying to make him act even crazier than he already does. The Lincoln Project (a group of former Republicans) has been doing an excellent job of that for the past several years. They make very pointed ads that are designed to piss him off and humiliate him and they buy ads on FOX News in the Palm Beach and Bedminster areas so he will see them. He takes the bait almost every time. Just in the past couple of days I've been surprised and amused to see the Twitter posts from the Biden campaign and Biden's personal account. Yesterday this is the statement that they released: "Donald Trump is weak and desperate--both as a man and a candidate for President. He spent the weekend golfing, the morning comparing himself to Jesus, and the afternoon lying about money he definitely doesn't have. His campaign can't raise money, he is uninterested in campaigning outside of his country club, and every time he opens his mouth he pushes moderate and suburban voters away with his dangerous agenda. America deserves better than a feeble, confused, and tired Donald Trump." Yup that ticks all of the boxes to drive him nuts. Today they mocked one of Trump's posts on his social media site. Trump posted "I'm not running to terminate the ACA, AS CROOKED JOE BUDEN DISINFORMATES AND MISINFORMATES ALL THE TIME, I'm running to CLOSE". (no clue what the end of that was supposed to be) The campaign tweeted an image of it and said "A feeble and confused Trump posts a typo-riddled all-caps rant misspelling “Biden,” “disinforms,” “misinforms,” and other basic words." I like this feisty new approach by the campaign.

Even I (not a native English language speaker) know more about spelling than he does. I bet I´d win at a spelling bee with him.

I like it, too. It was way overdue.
